Simón Franco
Founder / CEO
Industrial Engineer from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia with an MBA from Manchester Business School in the UK and certified with the PE/VC program from Harvard Business School. A serial entrepreneur focused on strategic planning, business development, and project management, establishing more than 20 organizations across Colombia, Panama, Brazil, UK, and USA. Currently a board member of the British Colombian Chamber of Commerce.
Helena González , CFA
Managing Director
Economist with a strong asset management background, currently Managing Director at Aken. Previously held key investment roles at Colombian institutions, including Fogafin (Deposit Insurance Fund), Colfondos (third largest private pension fund), and the Javeriana University Endowment Fund. Holds a Master’s in Economics from Universidad Javeriana and currently pursuing her EMBA at IE Business School, expecting to graduate in 2026. CFA charterholder since 2016 and board member of Colombia's CFA Society.
Iván Guevara
UK Director
Lawyer from the Javeriana University of Bogotá, Master in Financial Law, Master in Public Management and Administrative Law, both at the Universidad de Los Andes de Bogotá, LLM in Legal Studies of International Business at the University of Exeter, Master in Latin American Studies from St John's and a Juris Doctor from Cambridge University.
Cristina Gamboa
Investment Manager
MBA candidate from London Business School specializing in Financial Analysis and Sustainability. Holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Law from Universidad de Los Andes. Over two years as a project finance lawyer and four years in management consulting with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Mastercard, with experience across financial institutions, energy companies, and public sector organizations in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
Laura Vega
Accountant
Certified Public Accountant from Universidad Área Andina in Colombia with a specialization in Financial Management and Administration from Universidad Piloto. An accounting expert with over 8 years of experience in financial analysis, tax planning, and accounting processes across various sectors. Currently serves as Accounting Coordinator at Aken Capital.
Diana Jiménez
Analyst
Business Administrator from Universidad La Gran Colombia with a Specialization in Financial Management. Over 15 years of experience in administrative processes and financial management, implementing strategies to drive growth and sustainability for Colombian companies. Currently an Analyst at Aken Capital.
